Are You an Eagle, Kiwi Bird, or a Three-Legged Chicken?

1997 Pampered Chef National Conference General Session
By Dr. Nell Mohny
I thought I would share this with you for some creative motivation.
1)  The Eagle:  Symbolizes courage and soaring; energized.  Eagle's mount up when they take off, they do not avoid storms they go head on into them.  They have credible integrity.  The are positive, energized and enthusiastic.  They laugh easily.  Cooperate and work well with others (network well).  There is a place in Arizona that is a valley where eagles that are depressed or hurt go until they are ready to soar again.  The energized eagles swoop down half way down to them bring food.  The healthy eagles don't go all the way down to them and wallow in their mood, but remain high enough that don't bring them down to their level.

2)  The Kiwi Bird:  Symbolizes the negativity, fear and resentment.  They come out only at night.  They need to be reassured that they are somebody.  We all have a treasure inside us.  It takes a special person to bring that treasure out of us.

3)  The Three-Legged Chicken:  Symbolizes chaos.  They are unfocused and going in all directions.  They are dizzy and undecided.

We don't never want to regret the things that happen in us by saying "if only"--We shouldn't ever use those words.  But live on and use our mistakes as our examples to improve upon!!  We are somebody special!! We have a treasure inside of us and we need to find that treasure and bring it out into the open.  Which bird are you?

Here is a tip to do in the mornings:  The first four minutes of the day will "set sail for the day."  In other words, it will be how we start the day is how our day will end.  Take the first four minutes of the day to give the Lord thanks in all we do.  Remember that today is a gift, it's how we use it that really counts.  Eat low fat and high fiber foods with adequate exercise.  Have a 15 minute quiet time.  Creative ideas come when we are silent.  Write these ideas down.  Act upon them when you have made the time to do them.

Just some food for thought!

Until Next Time~
